2019 Community Christmas Events

Friday, December 13, 2019; 7:30 pm; Edgerton Christian Church

The select adult choir, Canto Chorale,  directed by Darrell Willson will perform the musical Christmas work, ” Love Made a Way.” Following the performance will be the church’s annual Candlelight Communion Service.

Open House; 2 pm to 5 pm at the Edgerton Branch, Mid-Continent Public Library (404 W Frank St.) —All customers are invited to join the staff in celebrating the reopening of the branch! Enjoy Christmas music by the Cool Cats, refreshments, and the I Love My Library photo op from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. All visitors during branch hours will receive a fine forgiveness token. Join the Edgerton Branch Scavenger Hunt from December 14 – 20 using the free GooseChase app for a chance to win a $50 gift card. Christmas with the Cool Cats; 2:00 pm at the Edgerton Branch, Mid-Continent Public Library– Terry Bell and his band, the Cool Cats, squeeze the most out of all those holiday favorites in this fun-loving holiday accordion concert. Register for Christmas with the Cool Cats at mymcpl.org/events.

Santa’s Annual Visit; 4 pm to 5 pm at the Edgerton Fire Station (500 Belt Ave.)–Don’t miss Santa’s Annual Visit to the Edgerton Fire Station from 4 pm to 5 pm on Saturday, December 14th! The Pioneer Days Committee will also be at the Fire Stationwith a make and take ornament craft for kids, and Mid-Continent Public Library will be at the Fire Station with “Countdown to Christmas Book Bundles!”

Chili Cookoff and Hayrides; 4 pm to 7 pm at American Legion Post #445 (503 Belt Ave.)–The Legion will be holding a chili cookoff and serving for $5 a person! They will also give hayrides around town to sing carols and look at Christmas lights!

Edgerton Christmas Lighting Contest Judging; 7 pm–If you are participating in Edgerton’s Christmas Lighting Contest, please make sure your lights are on at 7 pm on Saturday, December 14th! The Edgerton Community Betterment Committee will come around to judge the entries. See below for entry forms and rules. Prizes donated by Patty Farr at Re/Max House of Dreams in Platte City!

2019 Christmas Lighting Contest

The annual Christmas Lighting Contest for Edgerton, MO will be held again in 2019. The judging (by members of the Chamber’s Edgerton Community Betterment Committee) will be held during Edgerton’s Community Christmas event on Saturday, December 14, 2019.

Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Prizes are donated by Patty Farr, ReMax House of Dreams. 1st prize is a 32 inch tv! 2nd prize is a Bath and Body Works basket! 3rd prize is a gift card to Bravo in Zona Rosa!

Pictures of the winning locations will be posted on Facebook and the Chamber website.
