In 1871, the Edgerton Land Company, owned by prominent Platte County resident James Nelson Bourne, filed a plat for a town and named it for Chicago railroad attorney Henry Edgerton.
In 1971 (50 years ago), the first Edgerton Pioneer Days Festival was held to commemorate the town’s Centennial.
A special Sesquicentennial celebration is being planned for the Pioneer Days Festival weekend in September 2021 (annually the second full weekend in September).
In addition, Edgerton’s local American Legion Post #445 will celebrate their 75th Anniversary, and it is the Bicentennial year of the State of Missouri!
If you would like to be involved in the planning of this special event, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are interested in being a vendor at the 2021 Edgerton Pioneer Days Festival (September 10th, 11th, and 12th), please fill out this form, and we will email/mail you the Vendor Application!
